Welcome To Young Progressive Voices

Hello, and welcome to Young Progressive Voices!

This website was started and is owned by me, Justin Acuff. I’m a political journalist and blogger, and in the course of my work I’ve discovered a vital voice being ignored — that of other young progressives. Because of that, I thought I would use  my own fanbase and website to develop something where young progressives can be heard. The time has come for a new generation of progressive thought, and if I can aid in that in some small way, I will feel that this site is justified and my goal has been accomplished.

If you would like to have work featured on this site, please contact me at politicsbyjustin@gmail.com! We accept several different kinds of work, including regular blogs, op-eds or opinion pieces, news stories, and political stories. Lists such as quotes and other stuff are okay as well. Contact us for more information.

  7. Thank you, Justin, for you article on the Yoga-in-school controversy in San Diego. I am a Yoga teacher and practitioner and I teach anywhere and everywhere I am able. And you’re right, humans fear what they don’t understand, which is why I study Yoga so vigorously. Studying the Yoga Sutra (the philosophical aphorisms contained in an ancient document compiled by Sri Patanjali) helps me to understand the workings of the human mind and how easily we fall prey to our own distorted perceptions of the world around us. Yoga is a philosophy that teaches us how we can master our minds and free ourselves of these irrational fears and hatreds that cause us so much discomfort and suffering in our daily lives. Keep up the good work and commentary.

  8. Justin, I’m glad you are making an effort to be involved with politics. I’m also part of the youth, but I am a Conservative. I think it is important that people on both sides should be exposed to the opposing point of view. I hope you will follow me back 🙂
